From a newsroom in Allahabad to the sets of Mumbai — a storyteller who acts, writes and shapes the worlds a film lives in.
Arbendra Pratap Singh was born in Shankargarh, Allahabad, and began his working life as a journalist. In 2008 he moved to Mumbai and entered the film industry as a writer.
In 2015 he stepped in front of the camera, debuting in Disney's Zindagi Khatti Meethi, and went on to appear in films and television. Alongside acting, he writes and performs satire — holding a mirror to society through a cast of original characters.
He also works behind the scenes as an art director, designing the look and texture of the worlds his stories inhabit — a rare hyphenate who understands a film from script to screen to set.
